Designed To Disappear

The best pet object is the one a visitor never identifies as a pet object.

Pet supplies are designed for pets and sold to humans, who then hide them. That is the whole industry in one sentence, and it is why a category worth billions still looks like a toy shop.

Our one rule

If a piece would not survive on an open shelf in a room you are proud of, we do not make it. That single filter removes bright plastics, cartoon prints, visible branding and about ninety percent of what is currently sold.

Three consequences

Material honesty. Oak looks like oak. Stoneware is glazed, not painted. Wool is undyed, so it ages instead of fading.

Quiet geometry. Low, level, rectilinear. Our furniture sits below the eye line so a room reads as a room.

Repairability. Screws, not glue. Removable covers. Spares held for the life of the product and ten years past discontinuation.

What we get wrong

Our pieces cost more. They arrive slower. And a genuinely minimal object gives a nervous animal fewer cues, so some of our beds take a fortnight to be accepted. We think that trade is worth naming rather than hiding.
