Materials
Five materials, chosen because they age well and can be repaired or returned to the earth.
Solid white oak
FSC-certified, kiln-dried, finished with a plant-based hardwax oil. Never veneer, never MDF. Scratches sand out; we send a repair kit with every timber piece.
Glazed stoneware
Fired at 1,240°C by a family studio near Porto. Food-safe, dishwasher-safe, lead-free glaze. Heavy on purpose — a bowl that slides is a bowl that spills.
Undyed wool
British wool, scoured but not dyed, so the colour is the sheep. Naturally flame-retardant and odour-resistant. Machine washable at 30°C on wool cycle.
Waxed canvas
18oz organic cotton, paraffin-free wax. Water-repellent, re-waxable, and it improves visibly with use.
Powder-coated steel
Recycled content where available, coated in three neutral tones. Fully recyclable at end of life.
What we refuse
PVC, PFAS-based water repellents, chrome-tanned leather, virgin polyester fill, and any print that exists to make an object look “fun”.
